Year: 1959
21,497 Original Miles
Color: Gun Metal Gray
Engine: Jomo T.T. – 649cc
This is one very special 1959 Triumph Bonneville T120. It’s a one family-owned bike since new. The owner purchased it at Santa Barbara Triumph/Honda in 1959. He was a decorated Captain in the US Air Force and put more than 21k miles on it until 1965. At that time, he had the legendary team at JOMO (Johnson Motors, Inc) of Pasadena, California provide the parts for Santa Barbara Triumph/Honda to build him the famous B-Range TT racing motor. All of the receipts are included showing the upgraded components that pushed the engine to an 11:1 compression. Unfortunately, the owner’s health caused it to never be started and the engine was installed, preserved with ATF fluid where it sat until 2024 in the families heated garage.
It wasn’t started until recently by a well-respected Triumph expert in Missoula, Montana and in fact is still in the break-in period. This is a number’s matching frame and engine and the title is still in the original family’s name. The original carbs are included but it currently has upgraded Amal Carburetors, Borrani Italian aluminum wheels front and back and is ready for a new owner to take it out on the street or add to their collection and covet this very special bike.
Walkaround video is included and I’ll get a running video up shortly. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional areas.
